Tutorial: How to Add Social Media Icons to a Blog

Hey guys! :) As you can see, i added 3 new social media icons to my blog (They're located under the section "About Me").  So here's a tutorial on how you can add these useful icons to your own blog.

1. Find a set of social media icons that you like and download them. There are many websites that offer free social media icons for download, here are some of them:

• http://line25.com/articles/20-free-social-media-icon-sets-to-use-on-your-website

2. Set up a Flickr/Photobucket account (or any other photo-hosting website) and upload the images of the icons that you wish to use. 

3. After uploading the desired images, look for a list of links to share them (usually beside the uploaded image). It will look something like this. Now, leave this screen open.

4. Open a new tab and go into your blogger dashboard. Select "Layout" from the left of your dashboard. 

5. Click on "Add a Gadget, then choose "HTML/JavaScript".

6. Copy the code below and paste it in the box labelled "Content".

7. Go back to the screen with the links of the images you uploaded. Click on the "Direct" link (It should be copied automatically). 

8. Return to the "HTML/JavaScript" window. In the code, replace "Image Direct Link Goes Here" with the direct link that you have just copied. Replace "URL Goes Here" with the URL of your blog.

9. Save your gadget and you're done!

Clarke Quay Outing

I went out with Shan Min (treasure-everyday.blogspot.com) and Xin Yi to Clarke Quay 2 days ago and it was a really fun trip :) The skies were beautiful that day so it was great for photo-taking.

We headed to a mall nearby and had yummy ramen for lunch yay. After lunch we took some photos while walking around the place ^^

Tans used her camera's timer function for this but it still turned out quite nice :D

We took a long time to locate the cat cafe, which is in Boat Quay (opposite clarke quay). We couldn't find it even after walking rounds and rounds so we gave up and Xin Yi gave them a call to ask for directions HAHA. We eventually found out that it was in a place called UOB Plaza so we managed to get there.

There is a "cuddle charge" - $12 per hour and $5 for every subsequent 30 minutes. We ended up overstaying by 10 minutes and paying the $5 oops. We went at around 2 pm and almost all the cats were asleep so I guess timing matters as well.

This cat was the sleepiest of them all. It never budged although I kept disturbing it heh.

Okay maybe it budged… once.

And this was the naughtiest one, always running and jumping about x)

See how naughty it is it didn't want to look here cause I was taking a photo hahaha.

This cat was my favourite!! It jumped on the counter and kept staring at the food haha it's so cuteee.

This cat is called Miley and it only likes to be brushed...

We took a photo with her woohoo!!

Overall it was a good experience :-)

After enjoying 1.5 hours at the Cat Cafe, we went across the bridge to take more pictures.

We passed by H&M and there was a huge "Sale" sign so...

We had dinner at macs then walked around a bit more.

BSE Outings // Chek Jawa (12/4/14) & Little India (17/4/14)

Hello! Really sorry for the recent lack of posts, I'm staying in boarding school currently and I don't have my laptop with me so yup. BSE (boarding school experience) will be ending this coming friday, so I will start posting more! :-)

Last saturday, we had a BSE outing to Pulau Ubin (Chek Jawa) and we did stuff like kayaking and trekking. It rained that day, so we had to kayak in the rain but thankfully it stopped when we started trekking. :) Here are some photos ~
